Plastic injection moulding
For producing plastic casings and parts we currently use precision plastic moulding machinery with robots. These are high-quality plastic injection moulding machines operate with clamping force range from 60 tons to 200 tons, up to 200 grams shot capacity, highly automated moulding cells and two step overmoulding possibilities.
To begin the injection process the mould tool which is designed to produce an exact shape of the needed product is fitted into the plastic injection moulding machine. The operator fills the hopper with a needed plastic material. A hopper in the machine feeds the plastic pellets into a heating chamber. They are heated until they are molten and then injected into the mould cavity under high pressure.
Once the plastic material fills the mould cavity, it is allowed to cool and solidify, taking on the shape of the mould. As soon as the part has cooled and solidified, the mould is opened and the part is ejected from the mould cavity and picked up by robotic hand. Plastic tooling is currently outsourced, but we plan to make moulds in house in the future.
